RJA secures the promotion of a Hudson Police Department Sergeant to the rank of Lieutenant

RJA was retained by a Sergeant with the Hudson Police Department in connection with the Board of Selectmen’s refusal to promote the Sergeant to the rank of Lieutenant, despite the Sergeant’s place as number one on the active Civil Service promotional list and a vacancy in the rank.  After the Board voted to deny the promotion, RJA filed a petition with the Civil Service Commission seeking relief and an investigation.

RESULT:  Following the filing of a lengthy petition with the Civil Service Commission, the Town of Hudson and the Sergeant entered into an agreement that resulted in the Sergeant being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.  That promotion took effect the month after RJA filed its petition with the Commission seeking relief.
